With the acclaimed productions of black odyssey , The War of the Roses, and Quixote Nuevo, Cal Shakes Artistic Director, Eric Ting, embarked on creating Cal Shakes Press. Books were based on translating scripts into book form, print run limited.
Taking original show art created for each production, each piece was reconfigured for book covers. Fronts were comprised of solely of art, while the back covers contained title / treatment that included the iconic Cal Shakes logo (notably part of a full rebrand project). Along with cover design, duties included supervising internal layout and production of book with local printer.
