Arts and the African Diaspora

Website design and development, partnering with Dr. Antonio Cuyler in conjunction with University of Michigan (Music, Theatre, and Dance), the site is built to be an interactive visual and audio site.

Dr. Cuyler's input was to create a "storytelling" site to accompany his book, "Arts Management, Cultural Policy, and the African Diaspora" and to highlight the 16 contributors. The video recordings were already done and he needed a site to showcase these videos. All of this serves as an entry to the book.

Site was created to compel audience with while referencing the video recordings and the book. I created "script" of what images, information, and layout would encompass and this was conveyed to individual contributors. Each contributor would have a single story page that was visually provoking, contained their video, and had minimal, but powerful content. If images were not provided, they were sourced accordingly. A logo was also created for the site.

Site is comprised of a scrolling landing page that serves simultaneously as a navigation page. Page leads to a series of 16 author pages that coincide with sections of the book. Lastly it ends with book page.
